1885 :: Death of Dr. J.E. Douthit
Dallas Morning News. Jan. 4, 1886. Dr. J.E. Douthit died suddenly from heart disease, Feb. 1, 1885, at Rockdale, Milam County, aged 56 years. He served as surgeon in the Confederate army.
